My home is in Maryland with my retired husband, three horses on the property, two cats and two English bulldogs. My dog’s AKC name is ‘Bertie Wooster’s Jeeves,’ after the famous P.G. Wodehouse butler. Of course, we know him as plain Jeeves.

I was born in Hertfordshire, England and graduated from Exeter University in Devon. Then came a year in California and an appreciation of how small the British Isles are!

Back in England again, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant (British CPA) and worked for Ernst & Young in London. I moved with the firm to Frankfurt, Germany, where I met my American husband.

Germany is the mecca of riding and I went back to my first love – horses.

Here in the States I compete in dressage on my home-bred Welsh Cross, Cruz Bay (pictured above). Owning horses has led to publication of several non-fiction equestrian books.

Coming to America from a Protestant country, where the Church of England is the main religion, it was bizarre to be among a huge throng of fellow Catholics! I’d been away for several decades, and was slowly returning to my faith. That brought with it the realization that horses aren’t the be-all and end-all.

The real purpose of this life is to prepare for the next one and this knowledge fuels my writing of Christian fiction. You may like to start with my free Christian Mystery Brittle Diamonds, or Riding Out the Devil, the first part of The Jack Harper Trilogy.
