Pastoral Letter From Bishop Joseph Strickland, August 23rd 2023
Bishop Joseph Strickland of the Diocese of Tyler, Texas has been dubbed ‘America’s Bishop’ because of his unwavering determination to tell the truth of the Gospel when so many other Catholic bishops will not, for fear of reprisal.
You don’t have to be Catholic to find his proclamation of God’s Truth, told with clarity and charity, and his call to us to stand firm in the Faith, a comforting change from the distorted secular view of truth being promoted these days.
The Bishop Strickland Hour

Trampling on the Son of God
Archbishop Vigano blasts the ‘human and counterfeit church enslaved to the New World Order.’ He states that ‘The time has come to choose which side we are on. Either with Bergoglio and .. the Synod of Synodality … or with God, His Church, and His Saints.’
Archbishop Vigano’s Press Release
In this press release, Archbishop Vigano outlines his new association, Exsurge Domine, ‘to help priests and religious who are victims of the Bergoglian purges.’
He describes the situation that has led to the persecution of faithful clergy and religious. ‘Those who hold positions of power have shown themselves to be enemies of the institution they oversee and of the people over whom they exercise their authority.’
CATHOLIC LITERATURE

The Catholic Mass: Steps to Restore the Centrality of God in the Liturgy
By Bishop Athanasius Schneider
A beautifully written book by a faithful Catholic bishop who is on a passionate mission to undo ‘man’s narcissistic tendency to place himself, rather than God, at the center of the Mass.’ He opens our eyes to the wonders of the Liturgy and the need to preserve it in it purest form.

Church Fathers: From Clement of Rome to Augustine
by Pope Benedict XVI
Embarrassed by my woeful ignorance about the Fathers of the Church, I bought this short book (196 pages) as an introduction to my faith heritage that wouldn’t be too overwhelming!
In his usual clear style, Pope Benedict XVI outlines details of the lives and theology of the men who were influential in the formation of Church doctrine from her foundation.
After reading Pope Benedict’s book, I decided to try this more detailed tome. I am very glad I did!
As the back blurb says, this book is ‘lucid and comprehensive’ and written ‘with simplicity and clarity.’ Expecting it to be dry and a challenge to read, I instead found it fascinating and instructive.

The Suicide of Altering the Faith in the Liturgy
by Father Paul Kramer
An eye-opening revelation of the truth behind the promulgation of the new Mass that came out of Vatican II.

Heroism and Genius: How Catholic Priests Helped Build – and Can Help Rebuild – Western Civilization
by Father William J. Slattery
This wonderful book gives Catholics reason to be proud of their heritage. In a world where the statues of saints are being torn down and Catholic history is being rewritten to hide the truth, Father Slattery reveals how Catholic priests helped to build Western civilization through their love of God and their fellow man.
BOOKS FOR ADVANCEMENT IN PERSONAL SPIRITUALITY
by Trent Beattie
‘Scrupulosity can be defined as uneasy and persistent concern that one’s actions might be sinful when in fact they are not.’
As someone wont to suffer from scrupulosity myself, I found this book very comforting. I often refer back to it, as it includes helpful prayers for those suffering from this problem.

Church Militant Field Manual: Special Forces Training for the Life in Christ
by Father Richard Heilman
A 12 Week Boot Camp to assist in getting our ‘Warrior Saint Interior Life’ up and running, this manual is full of amazing gems to help you develop holy habits that not only benefit you, but also your loved ones – alive and deceased.
It instilled such strong habits in me that here I am, over a year later, still carrying out those practices!
